One Week in Bangkok

My first week in Bangkok has come to a close and though I don't feel drastically different, I certainly have lots of new things on my mind. Everything around me now has a new name. Water, food, shelter, money... I have to learn all of it over again. We travel by taxi to go anywhere. The food is cheaper than I have seen anywhere in the world. The people are about as friendly as they come. At night our Thai friends drink nothing but whiskey and water, and want to share it with their guests late into the night.

The children are pretty decent at English and aside from the positively insane 10 minutes between classes, they seem truly eager to learn. The school is beautiful, well organized and exclusive. It seems American teachers are thought of as valuable assets and we are treated accordingly. The school is full of life just about every day but Sunday it seems, and there is always an activity to enjoy.

Last night on Kao San Road, after a long day of walking, I got an hour long Thai massage for $8 USD. It was an ideal end to a very interesting week.

You can't imagine how much fun we're having.

Study Abroad Video

This is a little older but I am gonna throw it up here. It is a video montage of my experience in Europe (7:25 minutes). Enjoy.

Road Trip

After winter in the Rockies, some friends and I took a road trip so we could enjoy the warm weather with some camping and hiking. This is the path we took:

Here is a picture of us before we set out. Below are some of the photos taken during the trip.
